5+ weeks later, I am still not running. nothing on the MRI, bone scan shows activity on the opposite foot that is hurt "suggesting degenerative joint disease" but that still doesn't explain why my left foot is either throbbing to where it hurts just sitting down or barely hurts me when I go for a light jog (oops!) 

I ran yesterday. it felt good, I was tempted by the running devil saying, "you need fresh air, the sun on your face, and to move your legs fast." Fall running is my favorite, it reminds me of this time last year when I was training for my first marathon, I miss that Sunday long run sore feeling on Mondays, I miss feeling in shape! 

School has started so I have a distraction from not running! And I can live vicariously through customers at my new job, Philadelphia Runner :) I love hearing people training from 5ks to marathons! whether its their first time doing a 5k, half or full marathon. I love people saying, "I did my longest run today of 16 miles!"  its so empowering- the human body is amazing (not mine at the moment) I watched the Ironman World Champs at Kona and guessed what shoes they were wearing during the marathon. The fastest marathon time for the women was 3:03, after a 112 bike ride and 2.4 mile swim. WHAT?! I dream of that time just a marathon by itself. 

Chicago marathon was also this weekend- and one of my oiselle teammates, Sarah Attar, the first Saudi Arabian women to compete in the olympics in 2012 (in the 800) ran Chi-town  in 3:11! Another inspiring woman at Chi-Town as Deena Kastor who got the Women's Master Marathon Record in 2:27. unreal!
