i'm on top of things!!

but it is only week one. I've been re-writing my notes and actually running! yesterday I ran approximately 5 miles, in about 43 minutes I think? my shoe laces hate me they love to get untie in the middle of my run...multiple times. I need zip ties or something! 

today I did a workout at Franklin Field with my high school teammate, Meg. we did 3 x 1600 at 7:15 pace. First one we started off with 7:05 (oopps!) but then were right on for the next two, 7:14 and 7:15. Meg wants her pace to be 7:15 for her next 10k and she made it seem effortless. my breathing was bad (but it was snowing and about 25 degrees and freezing) but I am satisfied because the last time I did a speed workout was uhmm....probably way before the marathon in October or September, got me excited to start doing workouts for the Broad Street! I did the bike for about 15 minutes and 8 minute abs wooo! 

I found my old summer running log from 2012. I was looking at this 8 mile long run I did in 1:13 which is about 9:10 pace and I remember how much of a struggle that summer was for me. But I just did a marathon at 8:53 pace. It is crazy how much everything has changed in about 2 years
